Greenwich Theatre Summer Open Day

13 Jul 2019
Join us for our first 50th Celebration, the Greenwich Theatre Summer Open Day!
This year Greenwich Theatre Limited is celebrating 50 years of working with and promoting theatre makers of all kinds from the small to the large scale. We took the crumbling shell of a Victorian music hall, redesigned, rebuilt and re-presented it back to the people of Greenwich.
The day will be jam-packed with lots of exciting things to do such as - costume and props sale, backstage tours and 50th memberships on sale. Grab a tea, coffee, ice cream, cold one and join us for this exclusive opportunity for you to visit and experience the theatre like you've never done before.

Our Open Day events include:

Costume and Props Sale
From pantomime to Mark Rylance's Macbeth, the Greenwich Theatre wardrobe is bursting at the seams with costume and props from over the years. We invite you to come and have a rummage through the rails for some of the finest costumes in town.

Backstage Tours
Always wanted to explore the backstage of a theatre? Well now's your chance. We are offering exclusive backstage tours throughout the day, led by our artistic director and excellent theatre team. Find out the why a green room is called a green room and see some of the original Victorian decor in these exciting tours.

Buy a Brick Campaign
Started in 1969 and briefly reopened in the late 1980's the buy a brick campaign allows individuals and companies to leave their mark on the theatre. Simply design and draw on your brick to to play a part in protecting the legacy of the last 50 years.

Exclusive Theatre Footage
