1. Terms and Conditions for Use of Website and Online Ticket Sales
1.1 These terms and conditions govern all Contracts made with Greenwich Theatre Limited.
1.2 Unless otherwise stated, these terms and conditions relate to this venue, to transactions with this company, and to performances at this venue.
2. The Mechanism
2.1 Confirming your Booking (including the provision of your credit or debit card details) shall constitute an offer by you to purchase Tickets subject to these terms and conditions.
2.2 You are wholly responsible for entering all of your details correctly on the Booking Form, ensuring that all details supplied by you are true and accurate. If there are any changes to your details once your booking is concluded then it is your responsibility to inform the Theatre.
2.3 The Theatre reserves the right to place restrictions on the quantity of any Tickets ordered.
2.4 It is your responsibility to check that the Tickets issued to you are accurate and to inform us in adequate time if you have not received your tickets if you have selected for your tickets to be posted.
3. Terms of Payment
3.1 All Tickets must be paid for in full at the time of booking including any applicable booking, handling, delivery or other charges.
3.2 We do not offer reservations.
4. Delivery
4.1 When making a booking online it is your responsibility to select the most appropriate delivery method (i.e. collection from Theatre or postage).
4.2 Where requested the Theatre will use its best endeavours to post all Tickets to you within three days of making a booking. Alternatively you may collect your Tickets from the Theatre Box Office but must arrive at least half an hour before the event and must show the credit/debit card that you used to purchase the Tickets.
4.3 Tickets will be posted to you by First Class post. The Theatre will not, however, accept any responsibility for documents mislaid or lost by the Royal Mail.
4.4 It is your responsibility to report to us if your tickets have not arrived by the morning of the event or if you have misplaced your tickets.
4.5 Tickets lost in the post, or misplaced by the Customer shall not be reposted, but may be collected with proof of identification from the Box Office on the day of the performance.
4.6 If you book Tickets for an event taking place within 3 working days of the date of the booking, your Tickets must be collected by you from the Box Office and you must present the credit/debit card that you booked with as proof of purchase.
4.7 When making a booking for any performance or event at a venue other than Greenwich Theatre (by using Greenwich Theatre Ticketing) at least three days before the performance or event date, tickets will automatically be posted for a fee of 50p unless booked online or in person at Greenwich Theatre.
4.8 Unless booked in person at Greenwich Theatre, tickets purchased for any performance or event at a venue other than Greenwich Theatre (by using Greenwich Theatre Ticketing) with less than three days remaining before the performance or event date will be passed to the venue's Box Office for the date of the performance. Said tickets will not be available for collection from Greenwich Theatre.
5. Alterations and Cancellations
5.1 The Theatre does not permit Tickets to be refunded after purchase except where a performance has been cancelled before commencement, or abandoned before completion. Where monies are refunded, such refunds are limited to the face value of the Tickets purchased and any associated handling, delivery or other charges invoked by the Theatre.
5.2 All Tickets are sold subject to the Theatre's right to make any alterations in the cast or arrangements advertised on the Theatre's website or elsewhere which are rendered necessary by an unavoidable cause.
5.3 In rare and unavoidable circumstances, the Theatre reserves the right to move people from their chosen seats without prior warning. Every effort will be made to reseat people in the same Ticket price band or better.
6. Exchanges
6.1 Tickets purchased for a show performance may be exchanged for another performance of the same show. Each ticket is subject to a £1.50 exchange fee and 3 days' notice is required. (The fee is waived for Friends and Angels although 3 days' notice is still required)
6.2 Exchanges are given upon receipt of the tickets from the original booking, before the original date occurs.
7. Greenwich Theatre Liabilities
7.1 Subject to Clause 7.3 below, the Theatre will only be liable to you for direct losses arising as a result of:
(i) a breach of these terms and conditions by the Theatre; and
(ii) any fraudulent statement or negligent act by the Theatre arising under or in connection with the Contract.
7.2 The Theatre's total liability under clause 7.1 above shall be limited to the total face value of the Tickets for the specific performance in question, plus any associated handling, delivery or other charges invoked by the Theatre for the fulfilment of the purchase of said Tickets.
7.3 Nothing in this Clause 7 or these terms and conditions excludes or limits the liability of the Theatre for death or personal injury caused by the Theatre's negligence or fraudulent misrepresentation.
7.4 The Theatre will also not be liable for any losses incurred by you in connection with your use of the Theatre's website, for any delay in using or your inability to use the website, for any information or Tickets obtained through the website or for any material posted to the website by the Theatre or by users of the website.
8. Website Use
8.1 The Theatre's website is for your own personal and non-commercial use. You may not modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer or sell any information obtained from this website.
8.2 All contents of this website, including any software, are protected by intellectual property rights and other related rights. No part of this website may be reproduced in any form (electronically or otherwise) without the prior consent of the Theatre other than temporarily in the course of using the Theatre's booking service.
8.3 You are not permitted to link to or use all or any part of the Theatre's website for any reason which is unlawful, defamatory, harmful, obscene or objectionable and, in particular, you are not permitted to transmit anything which, in the Theatre's opinion, harms its business or in any way offends other users or persons.
8.4 You are also not permitted to alter the Theatre's website in any way or post onto or transmit to the Theatre's website, any material containing software viruses or files which may damage or disrupt the good working order of computer or telecommunications equipment.
8.5 The Theatre reserves the right to refuse or remove anything which is transmitted via or posted on the Theatre's website and which, in the Theatre's opinion, is objectionable or does not comply with these terms and conditions. The Theatre shall not in any way be liable for such actions.
8.6 The Theatre may record, preserve, trace and disclose anything which has been transmitted to, from or via the Theatre's website, where required by law or where the Theatre is acting in good faith.
9. Links to Third Party Sites
The Theatre's website may contain hyperlinks to websites operated by parties other than the Theatre. The operation of such websites is outside the Theatre's control and you proceed at your own risk. The Theatre does not endorse or sponsor and is not liable for the products, services or content you access through any linked site.
10. Entire Agreement
It is the intention of the Theatre that all terms of the Contract between the Theatre and you are contained in these terms and conditions. If you wish to rely on any variation of these terms, you must ensure that such variation is in writing and signed by you and on behalf of the Theatre before any Contract is made.
11. Severability
If any part of these terms and conditions are not enforceable then this will not affect the enforceability of any other part.
12. Safety and Enjoyment
12.1 The Theatre reserves the right to refuse admission and may request any Ticket holders to leave (taking any such appropriate action which may be necessary to enforce this right) before or during performances if it is necessary to do so. The Theatre may also, on certain occasions, have to conduct security searches to ensure your safety.
12.2 Every effort will be made by the Theatre to admit latecomers at a suitable break in the event or performance.
12.3 The Theatre cannot permit canned or glass containers to be brought into the auditorium.
12.4 Mobile phones, pagers and watches must be silenced before entering the auditorium.
12.5 No photography, film or audio recording is allowed inside the auditorium. Failure to comply may result in immediate removal from the Theatre without refund.
12.5 To be admitted you must be in possession of a valid Ticket.
12.6 Children under the age of four are welcome in the foyers and café but are not permitted to enter the auditorium, except in family orientated shows.
12.7 Children's concessions generally apply to those aged between 2 and 15 years old but this may vary. Concession policies will also vary in the case of bookings made for a performance or event at a venue other than Greenwich Theatre (through Greenwich Theatre Ticketing).
12.8 Children under 2 years old can be taken into the auditorium free of charge for family orientated shows provided they will not need a seat themselves. A Ticket must still be issued for them from the Box Office at the same time as the booking is made or the child's entrance cannot be guaranteed.
12.9 Strobe lighting, smoke effects and gunshots are sometimes used in productions. Every reasonable effort will be made to inform patrons in advance of the production, although this is sometimes only possible on the day of the performance.
12.10 The Theatre or any permitted third parties may carry out general filming and sound recording in or about the venue. By purchasing Tickets you consent to you and your party being included in and to the exploitation of such films and recordings without payment.
13. Governing Law
These terms and conditions and any Contract concluded incorporating these terms and conditions shall be governed by English Law and all disputes shall be submitted to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
