This season we have extended our participatory work for adults and young people, from our free open access teenage choir to our new choral workshops with Greenwich Theatre Associate Artists Filament.

easter workshops

Autumn 2009 saw the launch of a new vocal group for Greenwich, and this year with support from Youth Music UK we are expanding the group to recruit young singers from Lewisham and Bexley as well. The repertoire for the group, selected by its members, includes a range of contemporary popular styles and rhythms and beats, all created vocally, and the group have regular opportunities to perform around the borough and beyond. Sense of Sound, our partner in leading the group, have appeared on BBC 2’s Bafta winning series The Choir Boys Don’t Sing, BBC’s Last Choir Standing and were finalists in Choir Of The Year 2006.

Ages: 12-18
Where: Greenwich Theatre
When: Weekly sessions on Thursday, 4 – 6pm

easter workshops

For the first time ever we are working with our Associate Artists Filament ("the future of musical theatre depends on work like this" whatsonstage.com) to run an exciting six week course combining harmony singing with physical theatre.
